Four Calls. One Jinx’em Grunt.

Knowing when and how to use a grunt can be just as important as having one hanging around your neck. Different vocalizations can be used to imitate different deer and social situations.

Deep Mature Buck Grunt:
During the rut, deep grunts imitate the vocalizations of a mature buck. They can be used when attempting to get the attention of another buck or create the impression that another buck is nearby.

The Jinx’em Classic comes pre-tuned for this sound with the O-ring positioned at the lowest area of the reed holder.

Medium Buck / Doe Grunt:
A medium-pitched grunt provides another option for getting the attention of nearby deer without immediately going to the deepest or most aggressive sound.

Move the O-ring to the middle area of the reed holder to produce this vocalization.

Young Deer Bleat:
Higher-pitched bleats can be especially useful during the early season when imitating younger deer vocalizations.

Move the O-ring toward the upper area of the reed holder for a higher-pitched bleat.

Aggressive Growl:
The growl is a louder, more aggressive series of vocalizations intended to imitate a buck displaying dominance or confronting another buck.

It can be incorporated into calling sequences during different phases of the rut when you want to create a more aggressive encounter scenario.

How to Adjust the Tone:

1. Access the Reed Assembly: Remove the reed assembly from the wood barrel.

2. Locate the O-Ring: Find the adjustable tone band positioned on the reed holder.

3. Choose Your Sound: Move the O-ring to the desired position.

4. Reassemble & Test: Reinsert the assembly and practice the call before using it in the field.
